Termed Insurance Check
When Open Dental sees the effective dates on an insurance have lapsed, it will prompt you to update the insurance.
Do not reverify the entire insurance with an insurance phone form just to respective website or call and simply ask if the insurance has changed.
The agent will know if significant changes have taken place. If they have go ahead and redo entire insurance, if still the same simply update the insurance effective date to:
- If Medicaid- end of current month
- If public school- August of current year
- All others- Dec31 of current year.
This is a “non bolded item” in order of things. Try to get to this, but if you don’t go ahead and go home and hope the insurance is still the same.
