Gossip

We all work at a company that has extremely high and lofty goals, so high that they may never be reached. We will never lower our goals or stop striving for them as this vision is what makes our patients love coming to the dentist; it also makes us loyal to each other as team members; and makes our jobs exhilarating, tiring, and satisfying.  This is not the place for everyone to work. There are only a few who will want to work at such a place, these are those we seek to bring into our team.

Gossip and bad feelings are toxic and cancerous to what we have created and love about our jobs. We have ZERO tolerance for such things in our team. Our team is too amazing and we love our jobs too much. I am fiercely loyal to each of you and will not allow any person to be the source of or receive such treatment.

Gossip is when person A and person B are talking in ANYWAY not positive about person C. None of us are perfect. Many of you know every imperfection of mine, there are many.  We do not expect perfection from anyone.  Persons A, B, & C will undoubtedly do something to offend each other, this is not the problem.  Person “A,” for our example, can and should talk to “C” about their problems in private but never with “B.”  If you stand by and listen to gossip you are just as culpable. You must talk to one of the dentists or owners about any unresolved issues. Talking to an owner is needed and required to protect what we have and is the opposite of gossip. We have an open-door policy and though we are also imperfect, you are required to talk to one of us.

Depending on the seriousness of the infraction, you will either be let go immediately or may receive a “Team Member Critique” form as a final reminder.

This is a very important topic that stems out of my fierce loyalty to each and every team member we have.  I love you all and am so grateful for each of your efforts to serve our patients and each other. I fully recognize that we could not be where we are without everyone’s past and future efforts. Thank you for your understand and patience with this topic.
