Little Chompers Pediatric Dentistry is now reopen. Our phased opening comes after being closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We have reviewed recommendations and data from Governor Kelly, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Federal Government COVID-19 Task Force, Dental Associations (ADA, AAPD & KDA). Additionally, we are closely following data regarding Kansas’ projected curve. Reopening our office comes with precautions essential to preventing the spread of COVID-19. We developed procedures and protocols using the information we’ve gathered to inform our decisions. Our top priority is protecting the health of our patients, staff and community.

Our office will begin our phased reopening with a limited treatment bay on May 4, 2020.

Dr. Kiser and the Little Chompers Pediatric Dentistry team did not make the decision to reopen lightly. We are taking every necessary step and precaution to ensure the safety of our patients, staff and the communities we serve. While we have always followed OSHA standards & guidelines, we are adding precautions to minimize the risk to each person we see.

Here’s what we are doing to protect you:

  • Wearing masks for every staff member.
  • Wearing eye protection, masks and gloves (treatment team members) for every patient.
  • Cleaning with CDC-approved disinfectants before and after each patient visit.
  • Installed a top of the line air purification system at our office which aids in reducing airborne and surface microbial bacteria, viruses and mold.
  • Our office has been fogged and based on EPA standards this eco-friendly fog kills all viruses & bacteria on smooth surfaces up to 90 days.
  • Checking the temperature of all employees upon entry into the office.
  • Screening patients as they arrive with health questions and taking temperatures.
  • Providing hand sanitizers & soap throughout the office.
  • If the patient is early or late to their appointment, we may ask for you to wait in your car until we can bring you in.
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments by phone to reduce time in office.

Changes you’ll see in the office:

  • Check-in w/ employee for contactless check-in by phone or text.
  • Closed waiting area.
  • Only 1 parent/caregiver allowed with patients in the treatment bay area.
  • If the patient is early or late to their appointment, we will ask for you to wait in your car until we can bring you in.

Here’s what we need from you:

  • Brush your teeth before coming to your appointment.
  • Bring a pen to sign paperwork when you arrive.
  • Fill out any necessary paperwork or forms (print at home from website) prior to your appointment.
  • Wear a mask or some form of facial covering for the nose and mouth for walking into/out of office.
  • Parent/caregivers/friends/siblings etc. should remain in the car while the patient is being seen.

If you or anyone in your family has a compromised immune system or health conditions that are at a higher risk, we are happy to reschedule your appointment for later this summer. Please call our office to reschedule.
